The company was founded from a simple observation: while the Caribbean possesses an abundance of talented software developers, designers, engineers, and technology professionals, many lack access to international opportunities and high-value projects. At the same time, companies in North America and beyond face growing challenges in sourcing skilled, reliable, and cost-effective technology talent.
District 6 Technologies was established to bridge that gap.
Operating across Canada, Barbados, and the wider Caribbean, we provide nearshore software development, AI consulting, digital transformation services, and technology advisory support to businesses, governments, and organizations. Our model connects global demand with Caribbean talent, creating meaningful employment opportunities while helping clients access high-quality technical expertise in the same time zone and business environment.

Over the past several years, we have actively supported initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, digital literacy, innovation, and workforce development. Most recently, we partnered with SuperNova Lab, Barbados' national research and development platform, to launch StartUp Fest Barbados 2026, an event that brought together students, entrepreneurs, developers, investors, and technology leaders from across the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and North America. The event created opportunities for networking, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and startup development while showcasing Barbados as an emerging hub for innovation and technology.
We also work with governments, educational institutions, and community organizations to explore how emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence can be used responsibly to improve public services, strengthen economic development, and prepare future generations for the changing world of work.
Through our partnerships, we have access to a network of more than 150 technology professionals across the Caribbean region, enabling us to support projects while simultaneously contributing to regional talent development and economic growth.
